Meet RITS Sailing Team: two starts, two podium finishes in the Tricity Sailing League

RITS Professional Services is a partner not only in the deep waters of business, delivering technological solutions and services to companies worldwide, but also a new partner of the sailing team competing in the Tricity Sailing League – RITS Sailing Team, which has already achieved initial successes in competitions.

RITS Professional Services has opted to compete in the Open classification, which allows participation by professional athletes. The regattas are held on RS21 racing yachts, with crews comprising 4-5 athletes. Each two-day round includes over 20 races, and crews switch yachts randomly to eliminate equipment advantages and ensure fair competition.

Sharing our passion for sailing are accomplished professionals who form the core of the RITS Sailing Team:

Jakub Jankowski, helmsman. A product of the MOS 2 Warsaw club and a multi-medalist in nationwide regattas, Jakub has won medals in Polish Championships in the Laser class and European Championships in the ORC class. He has sailed in Australia on 18ft Skiffs and participated in the Sydney Hobart Regatta, achieving second place. Jakub has competed in four World Championships in classes such as Moth, Laser Radial, 18ft Skiff, and Tasar. Recently focused on oceanic racing, he has been part of teams like „I Love Poland,” „Scamp,” and „L30 Team Poland,” earning titles such as 3rd place in the ORC European Championships (Soto 40 „Scamp27”), 2nd place in the Caribbean 600 (Volvo70 „I Love Poland”), 1st place in The St. Maarten Regatta (Volvo70 „I Love Poland”), and 3rd place in the L30 World Championship (Corinthians).

Jan Siekierzyński, mainsail trimmer/tactician. A multiple medalist in Polish Sailing Championships and former member of the National Team in the Olympic Laser class. Jan has worked as a coach in Poland, Ireland, and Saudi Arabia.

Maksymilian Pawłowski, bowman. From 2018 to 2020, he was a member of the „I Love Poland” team. World Champion in Micro (77 Racing), third on the podium in the L30 World Championships (Corinthians) and Sailing Champions League 2023 (Club World Championships), and fifth in the RS21 World Championships (Corinthians). On the national stage, he has achieved titles such as Polish ORC Champion (Konsal) RS21 and Polish Sailing League 2023 Champion (Club Polish Championships). An international judge for World Sailing.

RITS Sailing Team has already secured third place in the first round of competitions, improving to second place in the subsequent round in Sopot (29-30 June).

Two more rounds are ahead: 27-28 July in Gdynia and 17-18 August in Sopot, culminating in the national finals in Szczecin in October.

The Tricity Sailing League is a project organized by GSC Yachting in collaboration with the Polish Sailing League since last year.
