Their canopies provide natural shade, offering relief on hot days and reducing ambient temperatures. The rustling heroes – trees, allow us to detach from the rush of everyday life. Forest walks have a therapeutic effect, as evidenced by the growing popularity of forest bathing (shinrin yoku), observed among masters of spiritual development – the Japanese.
A forest is a space for rest and regeneration, but above all, it’s an ecosystem that plays a crucial role in protecting our planet. Therefore, we joyfully partnered with Posadzimy.pl to collectively create a forest that will effectively reduce our environmental impact. This initiative perfectly aligns with our values and our efforts towards environmental protection, as well as balancing work and private life for our employees – says Aleksandra Kamieniecka, Head of HR at RITS Professional Services.
Where will our trees grow?
RITS Professional Services has chosen Posadzimy.pl as its initiative partner, which has been collaborating with local authorities for several years, providing areas where forests have been destroyed, partly due to weather anomalies. Plantings occur twice a year (in spring and autumn) under the supervision of foresters, who select seedling species considering biodiversity. Foresters oversee the entire planting process conducted by professionals to give each seedling the chance to become a majestic pine, birch, spruce, larch, oak, or maple.
The spring campaign by Posadzimy.pl will cover forest areas damaged by storms in Tuchola and the Gostynin municipality, while in the Żary municipality, trees will grow in a redeveloped area after a landfill site.
Our first forest will cover 111 square meters, and the hundred trees planted within it will produce oxygen for 67 people and absorb 600 kg of CO2. That’s a lot of good for a promising start to our partnership with Posadzimy.pl! According to forecasts, the amount of paper saved will be close to six tons (exactly 5800 kg). And speaking of paper, RITS Professional Services has more to say here because joining the tree planting initiative is just one of many steps the company takes towards building a sustainable business.
Paperless document circulation
Thanks to electronic document circulation, RITS Professional Services has saved 52 961 sheets of paper to date, equivalent to saving 21 trees and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 7768 kg. These are data collected only from 2022 to the present. Electronic document circulation has been a standard for RITS since 
its inception, but it’s only since 2022 that the company has had the ability to monitor its environmental impact through tools provided by its solution provider.
We are aware that as a company providing technological services, our environmental impact may be smaller than that of manufacturing companies. However, we do not underestimate this fact and constantly seek ways to minimize our negative impact on the planet. Planting trees or implementing electronic document circulation are just some of the many actions we take for this purpose – says Anna Frąckowiak-Kaczmarek, Head of Marketing at RITS Professional Services.
